THE DETAILS
We're getting married at the Gruene Estate in New Braunfels, Texas. The ceremony and reception will take place on September 1st. Please note that this is Labor Day weekend, and hotel rooms and AirBNBs will go fast, so book your flights and accommodations as soon as possible! There is a cold-spring fed river that runs through New Braunfels, which makes it one of the most popular destinations for hot, holiday weekends.
GETTING THERE
If you're planning to fly in for the event, then you have two airport options—Austin or San Antonio. New Braunfels sits right between these two cities. If you've never been to Austin, then do yourself a favor and take an extra day or two to check it out. Same goes for San Antonio. From there, you'll need to rent a car, and we can help to put you together with other travelers if you'd like to carpool.
STAYING THERE
There are lots of hotels near the venue. We recommend checking out these places, but it's worth checking out Air BNB as well.
Lodging: Gruene Mansion Inn, Gruene Cottages
THE NIGHT BEFORE
Dylan's band BROTHERS will be performing at the legendary Gruene Hall the night before the wedding, August 31. Gruene Hall is the oldest dance hall in Texas, built in 1878. The venue has hosted country music legends such as Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bo Didley, and many more.
THE DAY AFTER
We will host a brunch cookout on the river, and then anyone who is interested in floating the river can join our group.
